Get up to $7,500 in grant funding is available for the down payment, closing costs, principal reduction, and/or rehabilitation costs of a home purchase. • $25,000 First-Time Homebuyer Grant – The Down Payment Toward Equity Act

If you’re a first-time homebuyer in Virginia, you might be eligible for a $25,000 grant in the not-too-distant future, thanks to President Biden and his push to pass the Down Payment Toward Equity Act. The Down Payment Toward Equity Act of 2021, otherwise known as the $25,000 First-Time Buyer Home Grant, comes from Biden’s promise to help Americans purchase quality housing. The act is currently in Congress, but could be passed any day in 2023, and it would deliver some of the down payment assistance Biden promised home buyers throughout the past years.

If the $25,000 grant makes it into law, it will help many people. All we can do is wait and see if it passes. But at Equity First Realty you don’t have to wait, we currently offer one of the biggest Homebuyer Grant-Rebates in the industry. Please read below.

Up to $10,000 in grant funding is available for the down payment, closing costs, principal reduction, and/or rehabilitation costs of a home purchase. Foreclosure Home Buying Programs – Received up to $15,000 for homes purchased from the REO inventory of certain approved financial institutions. Up to $15,000 in grant funding is available for the down payment, closing costs, principal reduction, and/or rehabilitation costs of a home purchase. First-time homebuyers and non-first-time homebuyers are eligible. Funding is provided as a 4-to-1 match with the buyer contributing at least $1,000 toward the purchase.
